What is a Gooseneck Antenna?
Gooseneck Antennas are omni-directional antennas that have a flexible base below the radiating part of the antenna. This structure give users the ability to bend and re-position the antenna to optimize link gain or to reduce co-site interference on multi-antenna radio systems.
These antennas are ideal for bodyworn or hand-held radio systems. They can be secured through MOLLE loops or other tactical clothing if needed. The cylindrical radome provides the antenna additional strength, eliminating issues where “paddle” shaped antennas don’t lie flat against the operator’s kit. They are also ideal for use in wireless broadcast cameras for live news events or sports coverage.
